NZKGI Website Rebuild

Project details

NZKGI wanted an engaging interactive careers experience that would inspire students and job seekers to explore the wide range of opportunities within New Zealand's kiwifruit industry. The result was a distinctive, visually engaging digital careers pathway built around an interactive kiwifruit concept. Were the user would click on a seed to reveal more indepth information about that particular job, plus case study interviews.

We imported the Claude Design prototype into Figma, giving the designer a strong foundation to refine the concept and create a more accurate, polished prototype. This allowed us to share a realistic experience with the client, gather feedback earlier and align on the direction before moving into development.

Creative process

I worked collaboratively with the client, designer and developers to shape the concept, UX and interactions, using Claude Design prototyping to rapidly explore and visualise ideas before development. This enabled earlier feedback, clearer alignment and efficient iteration, helping translate the creative concept into an engaging and technically achievable experience.

Working with the developer, we developed custom responsive code to dynamically position each career “seed” as the interactive map adapted across desktop, tablet and mobile. This preserved the intended career hierarchy and relationships while creating an intuitive experience regardless of screen size.

Results

The final interactive careers map transformed a complex range of kiwifruit career pathways into an engaging, intuitive digital experience. Responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile, the solution maintained clear career progression while making it easy for users to explore roles and understand the breadth of opportunities across the industry.
